With more than 140 workshops and sessions, the Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health (GOSH) Conference will be held March 7-10, 2011, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. The event is the largest of its kind in the Northwest.

The conference will feature the keynote address, “Water The Bamboo®: Unleash Your Potential,” by thought leader and author Greg Bell. His presentation will focus on the importance of self-responsibility and creating value for those we work and live with.

Other general topics covered at conference include:

  • Safety committee training
  • What to expect from an OSHA inspection
  • Hazard communication
  • Advanced accident investigation

Conference specialties such as health care, ergonomics, construction, emergency preparedness and response, industrial hygiene and workplace wellness are some of the other session tracks.

Registration for the event is expected to open in late-December and organizations can reserve exhibit space now. New to this conference will be a skills demonstration in the Columbia Forklift Challenge.
